Fabulous news today! Alphonse Mucha's Primrose and Feather duo are coming to the cross-stitching world.
This duo was sized based on Feather's hair ornamentation: I wanted to make sure the fine details wouldn't be lost going too small but didn't want to accidentally make things too large either.
On 18 Count Fabric they should be 8 x 20 inches, or 145 x 362 stitches each. Unlike the seasons which I kept exclusively to cotton threads, I intend to work metallics and potentially beads into these patterns. Feather also has a lot of chain in her artwork so I may do something similar as I did with Hannah Alexander's Megara and include a version with instructions for real chains. The top portions with floral designs will likely be in solid stitching, but the main backdrop on the bottom will likely be in half (or tent) stitches.
If you would like to be contacted when these two patterns are available please fill out the contact form on the front page! I do not yet know how much they will cost but they will likely be $20 each - I am not accepting any money up front.
I've also renewed the licensing for the 1896 Seasons and they will now be valid until 2023.
